UC Day will feature activities on March 3-4.

Monday, March 3

A number of campuses will host a dinner this evening. Be sure to connect with your campus alumni association to find out more about this.

Tuesday, March 4

UC alumni delegates will meet with state legislators in the morning and afternoon. There will be opportunities to hear UC President Dynes at a Welcome meeting at 9:00 a.m. and at the UC Day Luncheon at noon.

An advocacy workshop will be held at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel for UC alumni delegates and UC students. There will be an all-day exhibit from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the UC Goes Green tent on the north side of the Capitol, where students and researchers will showcase green research projects from throughout the university.

There will be a photo opportunity at 1:30 p.m., when all UC alumni will assemble at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Grand Nave foyer for a group photo. Delegates are encouraged to display campus paraphernalia such as banners, flags and clothing.

UC Day will include a luncheon from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton for delegates and campus staff to hear prominent guest speaker. The keynote speaker will be Linda Adams, California Secretary for Environmental Protection. It also will feature the presentation of the Alumni Associations of the University of California "Legislator of the Year Award." These awards recognize outstanding individuals who have helped shape the future of higher education in California. UC alumni will gather for a 5:00 p.m. reception at the Sheraton that at which the UC faculty and students who were featured at the “UC Goes Green” tent will be acknowledged.

UC alumni interested in participating are encouraged to contact their campuses. Campus coordinators of UC Day would be pleased to hear from you. You can complete a delegate form and forward it to your campus.
